You shouldn’t spend more time finding clients than serving them.

I'm so in!

The wedding industry is worth $73 billion.

The demand is there. And you know you’re great at what you do.

Yet, no one’s reaching out. Or worse, your inbox is filled with couples asking for a discount.

Instead, I want you to:
  • Spend less time in your inbox and more time on your couples because your inquiries are high-quality

  • Update your website only when necessary, because it’s doing what it's supposed to: bringing in qualified couples organically

  • Stop paying for ads and “featured” space on platforms like The Knot and WeddingWire

  • Use social media as a true community platform, not a place where you post because “that’s how couples find you”

  • Easily create additional messaging, like social media posts and emails, because you were 100% confident in your brand’s voice

It’s possible, and it all starts with your messaging.

Let’s craft some copy that does it all and *actually* sounds like you.

"Emily took the time and asked the right questions to get to know me and found the perfect way to portray who I am and my brand in words that sounded like me."

Convinced? Let’s chat

Before I get into the traditional “here’s my story” sh*t…

Here’s why:
1. I work exclusively in the wedding industry.

There are very few copywriters out there who can make that claim. As a wedding industry copywriter, I already have a great understanding of the industry. I get you. I get your couples. Before we even start working together.

2. I take a NO BS approach to all of my projects.

You hire me because I’m the expert when it comes to copywriting. I’m not afraid to let you know what’s what, and in turn, I expect you to be honest with me.

3. Every word I write is optimized for SEO.

In today’s world, couples are likely to find you through some kind of search, whether it's on IG, Google, or ChatGPT. I infuse all of your copy with SEO optimization so you’re always talking to your ideal client and the robots.

I’m damn good at what I do, and I’m confident I’m the right copywriter for your wedding business.

can I write for you?

Writing has been intertwined in my life since before I could spell correctly.

I wrote poems and journal entries in elementary school. By middle school, I'd written a *very bad* novel (that will never see the light of day). By high school, I knew that whatever I ended up doing with my life, words would be involved.

After 2 degrees in Creative Writing and Editing & Publishing, I found copywriting. I loved the combination of strategy and imagery to create words with purpose.

I stumbled into building my own business for the wedding industry (I wanna say I have a cool reason why, but really I was just newly engaged and unimpressed with the websites I was seeing during vendor searches.)

5 years later, I can’t imagine writing for cooler, harder-working people. Wedding pros are truly the best.

Hey! I’m Emily,
wedding industry copywriter

Integrity and Ethics.

There’s a right way to sell and a wrong way to sell.

Ethical copywriting doesn’t use fear or shame-based techniques.

I’m not into shady shit.

Instead, I’ll use psychology and compassion to create messaging that connects you to the couples you’ve always dreamed of working with in a way that feels good for you both.

Inclusivity and Accessibility.

The wedding industry is WAY behind on equality and representation.

The language you use is an important first step to creating an inclusive wedding business.

Everyone deserves to celebrate their love, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or ability.

(And if you don’t agree, I’m not the copywriter for you.)

Authenticity and Nuance.

You’re not a huge corporation like Nike or Sephora. YOU are your brand. All of the nuance that makes you unique makes your business unique, too.

You may not be Apple, but you have something much cooler: the ability to connect one-on-one with your couples and bring their special day to life.

You’re quirky, weird, and one of one. Use it!

Disruption.

Let’s be real—the wedding industry is full of beautiful traditions… and some that need to retire.

Have an unpopular opinion, hot take, or non-negotiable about weddings?

Good. Blending in is boring.

I’ll help you write copy that communicates your desire to disrupt the norm, so you can forge your own path in the industry.

What matters most to me...

Emily delivered copy for my wedding planner's website that was above and beyond. She was an absolute delight to work with and I highly recommend her.

Being a copywriter myself, it's difficult to pass off the task of writing to someone else. But I could tell immediately she knew the wedding industry inside and out, so I decided to work with her.

And frankly, I was blown away. Not only did she make high level recommendations with clear industry expertise, but she provide a white-glove service.

From start to finish, Emily is professional, caring, and a breeze to work with.

My forever roommates:

My personality on paper

My husband Andre and our feline furbabies, Bennett and Enzo - yes, our cats are named after the most badass couple in The Vampire Diaries. Go ahead and judge me.

Heroes (real):

Shonda Rhimes, Debbie Allen, Emma Watson, Kerry Washington

Heroes (fictional):

Christina Yang, Olivia Pope, Angelica Schuyler, Eloise Bridgerton

Movies I can quote:

My Cousin Vinny, The Wedding Date, Girls Trip, Monsters Inc.

The one book I would save in a fire:

My signed, 10-year anniversary edition of The Book Thief

People dead or alive I would love to have dinner with:

F Scott Fitzgerald, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Robin Williams, Michelle Obama, Princess Diana, Katherine Howard

Artists at the top of my playlist:

Reneé Rapp, Rihanna, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Khalid, Ed Sheeran, the entire cast of Hamilton, every Bridgerton soundtrack (Hitting shuffle on my phone is quite the experience.)

If I could live anywhere in the world, I’d live here:

Greece (I studied abroad and went on my honeymoon in Greece!)

Cocktail of choice:

Raspberry mule. It was our signature drink at our wedding, and guests LOVED IT. If I’m at a bar, it’s a vodka soda with lime.

Cult-classic TV I’ve never seen:

The Office, Breaking Bad, The Simpsons, Seinfeld

I was looking for high-quality copy and blog content to rank on Google better. Emily speaks the language of wedding pros and understands copy. We have seen an increase in online presence this year. Google traffic is up 434% per month (compared to the month prior to launching the new site). Copy played a significant role in helping that happen.
